What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

Truth First Missions is founded on the Word of God (the Holy Bible) being inerrant & infallible. It is God’s revelation to humanity about His divine nature, His self-sacrificial love, & redemptive plan for all people.

God

Jesus Christ is the God man. The second person of the (Tri-une) Godhead who is God in the flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1-2). We hold to the Godhead (all three) being directly involved in the process of the New Birth. The Father calls people unto the Son. The Holy Spirit seals the individual unto Salvation. No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44).

The Holy Spirit

The Spirit seals us unto the day of redemption. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your Salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13) Truth First Missions also holds true to the Baptism of the Holy Spirit & present-day operation of the Gifts of the Spirit. For divine empowerment, Christian service, & witness. (Acts 1:8, 2:4) (1 Corinthians 12:1-11)

Making Disciples

The mandate of Jesus Christ is to make disciples of all nations. Thats what we aspire to do. Using all the resources available to us to accomplish this task.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Out of Apostasy

As we observe our generation, our ministry believes that many in the Church are now compromised, complacent, or backslidden. We will pray, speak the Truth in love, & call the Church back to repentance through the whole counsel of God. (1 Timothy 3:1-9), (Acts 20:26-27).

Salvation

Our ministry believes salvation only comes through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who has reconciled us to God, the Father. We cannot attain salvation through the law, sabbath keeping or good works. Repentance, turning to Jesus Christ, baptism (immersion in water) & receiving His Spirit is the only way to have a true relationship with God
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you. Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3).

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
